Elementary Teacher - Victoria Schools

Victoria Schools USD 432 is seeking a certified elementary educator to fulfill a teaching position for the  school year. Teachers at Victoria work together to inspire excellence in our students inside the school, as well as outside of school. Staff strive to build relationships with students through academics, social-emotional guidance, extracurricular experiences, and an after school program. Curriculum updates and improved resources for teachers are a priority for the USD 432 BOE.

We are seeking individuals who are dedicated to teaching students using a variety of evidence based and engaging learning methods and constantly seeking research based strategies for support. Individualized instruction coupled with intervention is a focus for our teaching team. Collaboration and working as a team make it a fun place to work and enables us to provide the best for our students.

Health Insurance Benefits:
The district agrees to pay monthly medical /dental coverage as follows on a $1500 Deductible:
Single, $802.41 ($3300 HDHP- $780.69);
Employee Children, $1,158.83, Employee Spouse, $1,227.67;
Family, $1,484.10. If the premium total for the health and dental plan the employee chooses is less than the allotted amounts above, the lesser amount will be paid by the district.

Salary Information

Base $42,500 with coaching and supplemental positions available.

Victoria USD 432 is a rural district of just over 1,200 people in eastern Ellis County. We are located 10 miles east of Hays, just south of I-70. It is a community strongly rooted in oil production and farming. Victoria is the home of the Basilica of St. Fidelis, commonly know as “The Cathedral of the Plains”. Our community is proud of its German heritage and excellent work ethic.

The Victoria school system is full of wonderful students and dedicated professionals. USD 432 serves approximately 260 students in preschool through 12th grade. Victoria Elementary School serves students in preschool through 6th grade, and Victoria Junior/Senior High School serves students in grades 7-12. The school system provides a positive experience for our students and a wide variety of academic and extracurricular activities.

Parents provide support through the Parent Teacher Association, Site Council, and the Victoria Interested Parents group. USD 432 is committed to challenge each student to develop respectful relations and demonstrate pride academically and socially.
