5th Grade Science/Social Studies Elementary Teacher
Lincoln Elementary is accepting applications for a 5th grade Science/Social Studies teaching position for the school year. If anyone is interested please send a letter of interest . The position is open until filled.

Responsibilities- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages curiosity and respect
- Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support student success
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities
- Bachelors degree in Elementary Education or related field, or alternate track to certification.
- Valid teaching certification or alternate certification track with progress
- Prior experience in early elementary grades preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills

Hoisington USD 431 is located in central Kansas. District enrollment of approximately 700 students. Two elementary schools:
Roosevelt Elementary - Grades PreK - 1, and Lincoln Elementary - Grades 2 - 5. Hoisington Middle School - Grades 6-8 and Hoisington High School - Grades 9-12. Hoisington is a district with a 1:1 technology plan and community support for the district. This is evidenced by the recent construction of a new building for Lincoln Elementary and security upgrades throughout the district.
In 2023, artificial turf and all weather track will be updated at Hoisington High School Football field. An activity center was also constructed that includes a 2000 seat gymnasium, wrestling practice facility, weight training room and other areas utilized by the school district and community. In addition to a well rounded academic program, Hoisington has competitive athletic and co-curricular programs.
