Steel Structure Foreman

Location: Project-based; mining sites (locations vary)

Schedule: Full-time

Miller Contracting is seeking an experienced Steel Structure Foreman to lead steel erection and structural operations across active mining and industrial project sites. This role is ideal for a field-driven leader who works independently and ensures work is executed safely and to specification.

This position is project-based and expected to transition to additional assignments following completion of current projects through the end of 2026.

• Enforce MSHA, OSHA, and site-specific safety requirements
• Monitor quality and ensure work meets specifications and tolerances
• Build and maintain a positive relationship with the site’s representatives and engineers
• Lead and supervise steel structure and erection crews on active job sites
• Plan daily work activities and assign tasks based on project schedules
• Oversee concrete placement, forming, reinforcing, finishing, and curing operations
• Read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, engineers, and other trades
• Conduct daily safety briefings and job hazard analysis
• Monitor quality and ensure work meets specifications and tolerances
• Track progress and proactively address challenges or delays
• Mentor crew members and maintain productivity and morale
• Be a solution provider

• Proven experience as a Foreman or Lead in steel structure or industrial construction
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and blueprints
• Solid understanding of construction safety standards
• Willingness and ability to travel to project locations

• Experience on large-scale or multi-site projects
• OSHA certification or equivalent safety training
• Strong organizational and planning skills
