About the Team

The Global Intelligence & Analytics (GIA) team is part of the Risk & Valuations Services (RVS) unit within the S&P Global Market Intelligence Division. We provide business intelligence solutions for global risk, maritime, trade & supply chain, economic indicators & forecasts, and shipping intelligence. Our team works closely to help enterprise organizations make informed decisions.

About the Role

As a Subject Matter Expert, you will provide front‑line client support to subscribers of our complex solutions, demonstrating value and facilitating adoption across diverse industries. You will partner with commercial sales, develop tailored demonstrations, manage escalated inquiries, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance products.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of prospects’ and customers’ workflows to maximize the benefits of S&P Global solutions.
  • Provide tailored demonstrations and training sessions to showcase GIA solutions’ value proposition, driving usage and product awareness.
  • Manage escalated customer inquiries and act as a point of contact for complex issues requiring in‑depth product knowledge, ensuring timely resolution and high satisfaction.
  • Serve as a go‑to resource for data‑related inquiries and best practices regarding our data offerings, sources, and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with clients to design interactive, user‑friendly dashboards that provide actionable insights, tailored to regional requirements.
  • Assist clients in setting up data feeds and troubleshooting integration issues.
  • Work with Sales to develop client engagement initiatives, improve products, and increase client retention.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, economics, international trade, finance, or comparable experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities, highly numerate and meticulous.
  • Resilient interpersonal skills and professional phone presence.
  • Ability to work independently within an integrated team structure, prioritizing and multitasking effectively.
  • Self‑motivated to learn new products and processes through self‑learning and peer engagement.
  • Deliverable orientation: achieve specific business outcomes within defined deadlines.
  • Enjoy working directly with decision makers and end users to apply intelligence for better business decisions.
  • Think critically and collaborate to devise creative solutions to challenges.
  • Find satisfaction in supporting business wins without a direct quota/commission structure.
  • Adaptable to an evolving environment, continuously enhancing solutions, processes, and strategy.
  • Preferred: prior professional experience in similar roles, bilingual English/Spanish, and experience with econometric modeling software such as Aremo, Eviews, or Data Insight.
  • May require occasional domestic or regional international travel.
Compensation and Benefits (US candidates only)

Base salary range: $64,320 – $88,268, dependent on location, experience, and certifications. Eligible for an annual incentive bonus and additional S&P Global benefits, including health care, paid time off, continuous learning, retirement planning, and financial wellness programs.
