Job DescriptionResponsible for accurate receiving, storing, preparing and shipping orders.
Responsibilities- Inbound Freight: Scan, move, dim, weigh, count all products. Compare to manifest and check all shipments for damage, infestation and production code dates. Report shortages, damages and mis‑shipments on appropriate forms. Sign for inbound shipments when necessary. If assigned, and you are a qualified forklift driver, unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.
- Storage: Maximize space usage. Properly and safely put away items onto the racks.
- Order Picking: Ensure that the correct number and type of product is picked. Transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment. Stencil, tag or mark orders as required.
- Outbound Freight: Compare quantity, labeling and address with order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct. Accept signatures for outbound as necessary. Efficiently deck and load outbound trucks.
- Facility / Equipment: Maintain equipment and assigned areas in a neat, clean and orderly fashion. Operate equipment safely and efficiently. Comply with all local, OSHA or Expeditors’ standards.
- Inventory: Keep accurate records and reports. Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts. Ensure proper stock rotation. May key inventory adjustments in computer.
- Other Duties: Repacks or re‑boxes cases per customer instructions. Repairs and re‑boxes damaged goods as required. Perform basic maintenance as needed.
Job is from 07:00 am – 16:00 pm.
Qualifications- Education (preferred level):
High school degree. - Experience (minimum level of direct experience in a similar position): 12 months or more.
- Knowledge/
Skills:
Must be able to read, count accurately, do simple math (add, subtract, divide, multiply) and write legibly. Must be capable of lifting, standing and walking for extended periods. - Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis. Must be able to use proper lifting techniques.
- Must be able to follow directions with emphasis on safety, handle stress caused by meeting deadlines with tight scheduling requirements, shift priorities easily, and use hands and feet simultaneously for repetitive movements.
- Must have excellent work habits. Must pass a background check and STA. Must be familiar and comfortable with warehouse environment. Forklift certification will be required within 30 days of employment.
