Sr. Java Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of enterprise Java applications.
• Review and analyze business and technical requirements, and implement technical solutions to fulfill them.
• Create unit tests as part of Continuous Development practices.
• Conduct peer code reviews, provide recommendations, and collaborate with peers to enhance software coding practices.
• Fix bugs and support the QA, UAT, and Production phases of releases.
• Offer support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, incident management, and service request management for supported products and environments.

• 6+ years of Full-Stack Java Spring development experience (Java
  21 or greater).
• Experience working with Web services.
• Experience creating modern CI/CD pipelines using Dev Ops tooling (i.e., Gitlab).
• Experience with AWS services (S3, API Gateway, EC2, Lambda, etc.).
• Proficiency in using Terraform and CDK to deploy AWS cloud services and infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Git (merging, conflicts, cherry picking), Java, AWS, Python, and SQL.
• Solid understanding of API infrastructure and development.

• Experience with JavaScript and Python.

This is a 12-month Contract opportunity with our Kansas City, MO client.
