Position: Assistant Software Developer - Global Facilities (Kansas City)

Assistant Software Developer - Global Facilities (Kansas City) Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of internal dashboards and lightweight web applications (e.g., Python-based tools such as Streamlit, Flask, or FastAPI).
  • Assist in conducting research on emerging application development software projects supporting procurement and development efforts.
  • Write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications.
  • Support development of data processing pipelines, API integrations, and automation tools.
  • Assist in designing software or customizing software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
  • Assist in performing software updates and testing.
  • Assist in programming scripts to enhance the functionality of software for assigned projects.
  • Schedule and perform software improvements and updates.
  • Assist in researching emerging application development and AI technologies to support innovation efforts.
  • Assist in analyzing user needs and developing software solutions.
  • Assists developers, analysts, and designers in developing new software programs and applications.
  • Assists with phases of the software development life cycle for assigned projects.
  • Assists with designing, testing, deploying and maintaining one or more software products.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field (Required).
  • Associate Degree and 2 years related professional experience (Required).
  • High School Diploma/GED and 4 years related professional experience (Required).
  • Knowledge of computer equipment, storage, backups, operating systems and tools used in an operating environment (Required).
  • Attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem‑solving environment.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PPT).
  • Ability to obtain applicable certifications.
  • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
  • Involvement on campus or in the community preferred.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.
