This is a Paid Internship Program.

Americo will be hosting our annual summer IT internship program! Our office is located at the heart of Kansas City in Downtown KCMO. Our 10-week IT Internship program will allow you to gain hands-on experience in the workplace and increase industry knowledge. You will work on special projects, shadow experienced team members, and interact with people from all levels of the company.

We will be selecting interns for the following department:
Software Development.

Essential Responsibilities

• Support the development team in writing and maintaining software
• Contribute to 2026 software development projects and goals
• Develop processes, tools, and templates
• Assist project team members with various support tasks
• Conduct basic research and data collection
• Maintain records, notes, and files related to specific projects
• Assist in the development of presentation materials and reports
• Communicate, plan and execute ideas & projects
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Studying an IT-related field:
  Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or Management Information System, etc.
• Ability to efficiently organize work and manage time to meet deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well in teams
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; resourceful and able to solve problems creatively
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
• General understanding of software development techniques
• Legally able to work in the United States
