Base pay range: $/yr - $/yr
Salary: $110,000-$125,000 + biannual bonus
Duration:
Permanent; must be able to work on W2
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer with .NET 4.8 (MVC), Angular version 12, and C#
- Most applications are 80% MVC and 20% Angular
- Understanding of OOP and design structure
- Must have application knowledge (not at design level)
- Experience with SQL and Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience building applications from scratch (new development)
- Knowledge of AWS
- Familiar with Git control system
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
Insight Global is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for a client in Kansas City to support a major initiative to modernize internal systems in 2026. This is a newly created role focused on development (80%) and production support (20%), with responsibilities including coding, testing, and implementing configuration changes. The engineer will collaborate with a team of approximately 15 programmers, 4 managers, and several program managers across the full software development lifecycle.
The work involves building and maintaining a variety of web-based applications that serve different client needs, primarily through on-premises development. Candidates should be self-starters with strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with business and product teams. The role requires interacting with high-level leaders and contributing to a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. This position is part of a broader effort to make systems faster, more efficient, and better aligned with business goals.
