Sr. Backend Software Engineer – Denta Quest

This role is for a Senior Backend Software Engineer focused on building scalable API services using .NET (C#), Python, and Java. The engineer works in a hybrid model, collaborating in the office at least two days a week while also completing tasks remotely.

• Analyze and evaluate business requirements by working with clients and management, providing recommendations on scope and complexity.
• Document functional and technical specifications and project plans for solutions of moderate to high complexity, then develop, test, document, and support software.
• Plan and implement project schedules, resources, tasks, time‑frames, and deliverables; monitor projects and advise on technical problem resolution.
• Assist in training initiatives, providing direction to peers and less‑experienced staff, and reviewing their work.
• Support existing applications, monitor system performance, and coordinate cross‑functional IT teams to resolve issues.
• Use troubleshooting skills to identify, research, and propose solutions to problems and accommodate necessary changes.
• Recommend standards, procedures, and process improvements appropriate to own work.
• Present work to team members, clients, and management as needed.

• 7+ years of experience developing APIs in .NET (C#), Python, or Java.
• Strong technical skills and deep understanding of the client’s business to translate needs into IT solutions.
• Fast learner who adapts quickly to changing business needs and technology landscapes.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Knowledge of Azure and AWS, designing cloud‑native applications using serverless and containerised architectures.
• Experience with BFF design patterns, API Gateway, and middleware solutions.
• Strong knowledge of authentication and security using Okta, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and JWT.
• Experience with Dev Ops, CI/CD, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, ARM templates).
• Experience with monitoring tools such as ELK, Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk.
• Experience working in agile development environments, leading technical discussions, and mentoring junior engineers.
• Experience building REST and Graph
  
  QL APIs.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to attend additional training as needed.

Salary Range: $101,000 – $151,500
