Overview

PALS University – Summer Work Experience Program (SWEP) in the Kansas City Metro Area. Seasonal Student Workers (Part-Time) – $15.00 per hour. This is a paid, temporary summer position for students participating in Vocational Rehabilitation–supported work experiences.

  Receive guidance and coaching throughout the program

  Build workplace readiness, confidence, and independence
• Short-Term Commitment:
  Seasonal role designed specifically for summer participation

• Participate in on-the-job and off-site training activities
• Follow instructions from the Seasonal Support Professional
• Maintain regular attendance and communicate schedule needs
• Complete all required training and program activities
• Follow safety guidelines and job site expectations
• Dress appropriately for assigned work locations

• High school junior or senior
• Enrolled and recommended through Vocational Rehabilitation
• Ability to follow directions and workplace expectations
• Commitment to completing the full program term

• Part-time, seasonal position during the Summer Work Program
• Hours vary by location and assignment
• Non-exempt, temporary role
