Maintenance Staff/Handyperson
Join Our Team as a Maintenance Tech
Full-Time | Monday Friday (Rotating On-Call W/E within Team) | Non-Exempt | $25/hour If you're dependable, skilled with hands-on repairs, and motivated by work that supports a meaningful mission, this opportunity is for you. Join CDD a Kansas City nonprofit with over 50 years of service as a Maintenance Technician, ensuring our 30+ homes, duplexes, vehicles, and office buildings remain safe, functional, and well-maintained for the individuals and staff who rely on them every day.

- Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, and safety systems.
- Perform floor care, drywall repairs, painting, and grounds upkeep.
- Complete vehicle inspections and basic maintenance.
- Track supplies, order equipment, and manage invoices.
- Respond to emergency work orders and occasional after-hours calls.
- High school diploma/GED required
. - At least 1 year of facilities maintenance experience (2+ years or technical training preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work indoors/outdoors in varying conditions.
- Valid driver's license (MO Class E or Kansas Class
C); ability to travel locally.
- Pay: $25/hour
- Schedule:
Full-time, Monday Friday with rotating on-call weekends within the team - Work Setting:
Maintenance support for 30+ single-family homes, duplexes, office buildings, and agency vehicles across the Kansas City, MO metro - Classification:
Non-exempt, full-time with benefits and mileage reimbursement - Training:
Paid onboarding and ongoing skill development - Reports To:
Facilities Manager
