About the Role
The Industrial Mechanical Craftsman is responsible for installation, fabrication, and commissioning of mechanical systems and structures in water/wastewater treatment plant construction. This role combines the skills of a boilermaker, millwright, and mechanical installer to support the safe and efficient construction of complex process facilities.
Responsibilities- Install, set, align, and commission pumps, motors, gear boxes, blowers, mixers and other process equipment.
- Install & assist with equipment startup and operational testing.
- Process piping systems including carbon steel, stainless steel, Dr Light, PVC HDPE and more.
- Install valves, supports, penetrations, and special fittings.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Perform work in accordance with project specs, drawings, and quality standards.
- Work closely with the superintendent, foreman, engineers and inspectors. Document work activities, measurements and inspections as required.
Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in industrial construction. Proficient in reading blueprints. P and I DS in layout drawings. Experience with rotating equipment and alignment. Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment process is a plus. Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.
