Armed Guard

Overview

Armed Travel Guard position with Silver Star Protection Group.

Location:

Kansas City, MO.

Schedule:

On-call. Status:
On-call (non-exempt). Compensation: $18-$20 hourly.

Silver Star Protection Group, established in 2014, provides physical security, security system integration, consultation, and secure transport to diverse industries. The company is headquartered in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.

• Respond promptly to security alerts, incidents, and emergencies as required.
• Conduct periodic patrols of designated areas to deter unauthorized activities.
• Monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras and access controls.
• Investigate disturbances and take appropriate action based on company protocol.
• Aid employees, clients, and visitors in security matters.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports on security incidents and observations.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with company security policies and procedures.
• Maintain a professional demeanor while representing the company.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Armed License Required.
• Already have or able to obtain a cannabis agent .
• Must own a firearm with a level 2 retention holster or higher.
• Previous armed security or related experience preferred.
• Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
• Capability to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.

• Officers are expected to work scheduled shifts at their assigned client sites.
• Shifts, site assignments, and schedules are subject to change based on client and SSPG needs.
• Flexibility is required to work additional shifts, including on-call or emergency coverage when needed.

Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
