About the Role
Personal Banker at Commerce Bank.
Deliver an excellent customer experience by building relationships with customers, understanding their financial needs, and providing the right solutions. Develop and maintain long‑lasting relationships with customers, co‑workers, and other areas of the bank to uncover financial needs and provide appropriate solutions.

- Deliver an excellent customer experience both in person and over the phone to ensure customers’ financial needs are met.
- Actively listen to customers and make appropriate recommendations that match their needs.
- Educate customers on a variety of retail products and digital solutions that improve financial wellness.
- Ensure financial transactions are completed accurately and efficiently while complying with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Establish relationships with internal departments and refer customers to specialists when complex financial needs are identified.
- Earn more than your base pay through the quarterly incentive program.
- Interact with customers both in person and over the phone to ensure their financial needs are met.
- Actively listen, understand, and make product and service recommendations based on customer needs.
- Educate customers on retail products and digital solutions to enhance the customer experience and contribute to sales goals.
- Ensure accurate and efficient completion of financial transactions while complying with policies and regulations.
- Build relationships with internal departments and refer customers to specialists for complex needs.
- Assist with advanced product knowledge such as Home Equity lending and support other bankers with complex sales and service requests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Excellent sales skills with a focus on engaging customers in person and over the phone.
- Ability to meet personal and branch sales and customer service expectations and assist newer bankers with complex situations.
- Motivated, organized self‑starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Adaptable to a variety of situations with an optimistic outlook aligned with the culture and core values.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- High School diploma or equivalent (combined education and experience).
- 2+ years of sales experience required, preferably in financial services.
- Experience working in an environment with individual and team sales goals required.
Hourly: $20.00 – $24.40 (amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies). Eligible for additional performance‑based incentive plan.
