As a result of a growing department, we are looking to increase the sales team with a motivated, results-driven Business Development Executive to work within the Sales & Marketing team to engage their expertise and customer focus to all facets of sales and planning, positioning the hotel as the market leader in the region.

About the RoleReporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, you will be responsible for maximising total revenue potential for Hyatt Place Melbourne Caribbean Park across assigned market segments. With a focus on relationship building, acquisition of new business, and also the retention and development of existing business, in line with personal business plan goals.
You will focus on providing an extremely high level of professional expertise and customer focus to all acquisitions, retention and development clients which in turn maximises hotel revenue and profitability.
As part of the Sales & Marketing team, you will be a spokesperson and voice‑of‑brand. You will have a real impact on the growth and evolution of Hyatt Place Melbourne Caribbean Park, working with people who are incredibly motivated and passionate about what they do inside and out.

- To manage an agreed portfolio of accounts, allocated according to market segment through reactive sales activities.
- To achieve established monthly revenue and business development targets as set by the Director of Sales.
- Attend major travel and trade shows and corporate functions to promote the hotel.
- To showcase Hyatt Place Melbourne Caribbean Park through achieving client entertainment targets as set by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
- To work closely with the Sales team on sales leads to maximise conversion and total hotel revenues. This could involve a combination of both quoting and following up on proposals to ensure maximum conversion potential.
- To work closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing and Hyatt National Sales colleagues to ensure key account retention and development of sales initiatives for prospect business.
- Actively cross-sell Hyatt Place Melbourne Caribbean Park’s facilities and other Hyatt properties at all opportunities.
- Actively pursue marketing intelligence and potential business opportunities on an ongoing basis working with the Director of Sales and Marketing and the Sales Team to review key account performance and identify opportunities for revenue development.
