Summary

As a GMC Sales Consultant specializing in light-duty vehicles, you will be responsible for generating sales of new and pre‑owned GMC vehicles through a variety of channels, including website and phone inquiries, walk‑in traffic, trade show engagements, existing client accounts, and other professional networks. This role requires strong product knowledge, an understanding of financing options, and the ability to deliver outstanding customer experience from first contact through post‑sale follow‑up.

Requirements for GMC Sales Consultant
  • Deliver engaging, high‑quality product demonstrations–technology is evolving fast!
  • Product knowledge with the ability to demonstrate and quickly acquire knowledge of products and effectively communicate features and benefits.
  • Develop familiarity with warranty and service policy, financing options, and dealership technology (e.g., TSP, SCQ, etc.).
  • Provide Management with Targeting Plans, progress updates, and customer insights as required. Ensure all data necessary is submitted to maintain an accurate customer relationship management system.
  • Excellent communication skills across verbal, email, and text platforms; able to effectively interact with customers, managers, and team members.
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with existing clients through regular visits and ongoing communication including maintaining accurate customer records.
  • Stay informed about the dealership’s inventory, current promotions, and industry trends.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows to generate new leads and foster connections with current and potential clients.
  • Follow up with client’s post‑sale to ensure satisfaction and quality service.
  • Participate in training seminars and professional development courses when available, including, but not limited to: sales training, seminars, and other relevant learning opportunities.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions with industry personnel, vendors, and customers.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Education and/or Experience
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
  • Valid Driver's License and Good Driving Record Required
  • Microsoft Suite Skills
