Overview
Act as the face of the company and hotel to current and prospective clients. Communicate professionally and knowledgeably about the hotel's offerings, brand, and positioning. Stay informed on market trends, demand periods, local events, and competitors.
Responsibilities- Company Representation:
Act as the face of the company and hotel to current and prospective clients. Communicate professionally and knowledgeably about the hotel's offerings, brand, and positioning. Stay informed on market trends, demand periods, local events, and competitors. - Sales Strategy & Market Development:
Research and analyze business opportunities, industry reports, market demand generators, and customer needs. Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, event planners, and local businesses. Attend trade shows and industry events to promote the hotel and build partnerships. - Creative and Proactive Sales Execution:
Create tailored proposals that align with client goals and budget. Conduct site visits and deliver impactful presentations. Use creative approaches to generate new leads, including networking, cold-calling, and prospecting. - Negotiation & Closing:
Confidently negotiate terms, close sales, and secure profitable business. Sell and upsell hotel services based on customer needs and hotel strategy. Work toward achieving and exceeding personal and departmental sales targets. - Account Management:
Build long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business. Provide post-sale support, including event coordination and problem resolution. Ensure customer satisfaction from initial contact through post-event follow-up. - Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and transactions. Prepare and submit required sales reports and documentation in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with company policies, privacy regulations, and industry standards.
- Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, marketing, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the hospitality industry. Experience in hotel sales or group/event planning is a plus. - Skills &
Competencies:
Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills. High level of professionalism and customer service orientation. Proficient in understanding client needs and presenting compelling proposals. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively under pressure. Strong organization and time-management skills. Proficiency with sales tools, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. - Other Requirements:
Ability to travel locally and occasionally overnight as needed. Compliance with company policies, including dress code and guest service standards. Knowledge of hotel amenities, services, and systems.
