Outside Sales Representative – Geo Stormwater

Ferguson is seeking a proven Outside Sales Representative specializing in Geosynthetics and Stormwater to support customers in our Southern Plains territory. This field‑based sales role offers a fuel card, auto allowance, travel and expense card, company cell phone & laptop. The position is salary plus commission with no cap.

In this role, you will be a trusted advisor to contractors, engineers and agencies, driving the adoption of our Geosynthetics and Stormwater solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with branch and sales associates to train, support and collaborate, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Provide technical and site support including presentations, pre‑construction meetings, job‑site visits, product demos, and installation guidance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with contractors, subcontractors, engineers, local and state agencies, and developers.
  • Schedule Lunch and Learns and seminars in collaboration with Ferguson Associates and vendor partners.
  • Provide monthly reporting to leadership on market conditions, bid strategy, competitive information and wins.
  • Use CRM technology to manage territory and reports of sales activities.
  • Identify new sales leads through market research, website lead generation, pre‑bid meetings and industry associations.
  • Communicate new products, services and enhancements to existing customers and stakeholders.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals by selling products and project solutions.
  • Maintain relationships with key vendors.
  • Monitor sales trends and product performance to determine inventory and pricing strategy.
  • Continuously enhance sales skills, product knowledge and use of tools and technology.
  • Increase industry awareness through attendance at trade shows, conferences and presentations.
Qualifications
  • Sales experience in Geosynthetics and Stormwater products preferred.
  • Civil engineering background is a plus.
  • Must reside in the designated state/territory.
  • Willingness to travel weekly throughout the territory.
  • Strong adaptability and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and navigating multiple software systems;
    Salesforce and Power BI experience is a plus.
  • Creative problem‑solver with a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset.
  • Self‑motivated and able to work independently with strong prioritization skills.
Compensation

Base salary plus commission with no cap. Estimated total compensation range based on performance and experience is $120,000 – $140,000+.
