Position Overview:
As the Franchise Membership Sales Director for the Professional Football League (the "League"), you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and expansion of the League by identifying and securing potential owners for new franchises. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales initiatives to attract prospective franchisees, build relationships, and close deals. Your efforts will contribute to the success and sustainability of the League's francise membership network.
- Prospective Owner Sales Strategy
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to identify and attract potential owners for new franchises.
- Conduct market research to identify prospective owners, market trends, and potential investment opportunities.
- Collaborate with the League's leadership team to align sales strategies with the overall growth and expansion plans.
- Prospecting and Lead Generation
- Identify and target potential owners through various channels, including industry research, networking events, and referrals.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective owners, tracking leads and managing the sales process effectively.
- Leverage existing industry connections and actively seek opportunities to expand the network of potential owners.
- Relationship Building and Consultative Selling
- Establish and nurture relationships with prospective owners, serving as a trusted advisor and resource throughout the sales process.
- Conduct in-depth consultations to understand prospective owners' goals, objectives, and financial capabilities.
- Provide guidance and information on franchise ownership, investment requirements, and League policies.
- Proposal Development and Presentation
- Prepare compelling and customized proposals outlining the benefits and value proposition of owning a franchise in the League.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create financial projections, market analysis, and other supporting documents for prospective owners.
- Conduct persuasive presentations to showcase the benefits of franchise ownership and address potential concerns or objections.
- Deal Negotiation and Closing
- Lead negotiations with prospective owners, working collaboratively with legal and finance teams to finalize ownership agreements.
- Ensure adherence to the League's ownership criteria, financial requirements, and legal compliance.
- Facilitate the due diligence process, providing necessary documentation and information to support prospective owners' decision-making.
- Sales Reporting and Analytics
- Track and report sales activities, pipeline status, and progress against sales targets.
- Analyze market trends, sales data, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities for improvement and inform sales strategies.
- Provide regular updates to the League's leadership team on sales performance and prospective owner acquisition.
- Networking and Industry Engagement
- Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the League and identify potential owners.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry influencers, business leaders, and key stakeholders to enhance the League's visibility and credibility.
- Collaboration and Teamwork
- Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, finance, and marketing, to ensure smooth and efficient sales processes.
- Provide input and feedback on marketing materials, promotional campaigns, and sales collateral to support the sales efforts.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, contributing to the overall success of the sales team and the League.
Franchise Acquisition: - Identify and pursue potential franchise owners through targeted lead generation activities, networking, and industry events.
- Conduct sales presentations and negotiations to convert leads into new franchise owners.
- Manage the franchise application process, ensuring smooth onboarding and compliance with league policies.
- Team Leadership and Development
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team, providing coaching and support to ensure their success.
- Set sales targets and performance goals for the team, monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that encourages motivation, creativity, and a customer-focused approach.
- Industry and Market Knowledge
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics related to the professional sports and franchise sectors.
- Continuously expand knowledge of franchise business models, sales techniques, and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are advantageous.
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or a similar role, preferably in sports, entertainment, or the franchise industry.
