The Sales Support Representative plays a critical role in Midland's sales efforts by assisting the enterprise-wide sales team with customer support through customer interactions, order processing, price support and product knowledge.
Responsibilities- Process orders and quotes sent by the customer.
- Help upsell orders and with cross-selling opportunities.
- Drive repeat business and expand product penetration across accounts.
- Act as a point of contact for customers, answering inquiries, and addressing issues related to products, services, and orders.
- Develop strong long-term relationships with key decision-makers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Assist with the preparation and tracking of orders, quotes and proposals, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and policies.
- Negotiate pricing terms and conditions to close deals.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of products to customers.
- Work closely with other departments such as marketing, operations, and customer service to resolve customer issues and improve customer experience.
- Share customer feedback to help enhance products, services and processes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions in Midland's CRM.
- Proactively track and manage sales opportunities in Midland's CRM.
- Stay informed about all Market Vertical trends as well as competitor activities and market dynamics to provide strategic value to customers.
- Recommend service and product enhancement to improve the sales potential and customer satisfaction.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Achievement of sales growth through Quote/Order goals
- Number of calls, emails and virtual meetings completed per week.
- Number of orders entered per week.
- Number of quotes fulfilled per week.
- Number of qualified opportunities added to pipeline.
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Excel, CRM, and ERP capabilities (IT knowledgeable).
- Base knowledge of Fittings, Nipples, Valves, etc. (preferred).
- A Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Business, or related field.
- 1-2 years of Inside Sales experience.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
