Inside Sales Representative

Overview

We are currently interviewing for an inside sales position in the wholesale and commercial sales department.

• Provide constant support for the outside sales team.
• Pitch our products and services over the phone and via email as part of a heavy phone sales and support environment.

• Education: A high school diploma or GED is the minimum requirement. A bachelor’s degree in business or communications would be helpful.
• Experience: 2–3 years of experience in sales or customer-facing environments. Years of experience in building materials supply would give the candidate an advantage.

  Skills:
  
  Proficiency with DMSI or equivalent building materials software is an advantage. Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office are required.
• Persuasive Communication: Excellence in both verbal and written communication is required.
• Active Listening: Critical in a heavy phone sales and support environment to understand customer pain points and build trust.
• Resilience & Grit: Ability to maintain a positive attitude and provide persistent effort despite customer issues, with teamwork to provide solutions.
• Time Management: Ability to organize high volumes of daily activities—such as 100+ calls and 50+ emails—while staying productive in a fast-paced environment.

• Hours:
  
  Monday-Friday 7:00–4:00 with Saturday limited staffing 8:00–noon. The position has a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional overtime on Saturdays.
• Hourly wage: starting around $23–$24 per hour, based on experience.
• Bonus: quarterly KPI-based bonus.
• Retirement: 401(k) plan with a 50% employer match on the first 6% of the employee’s contribution.
