We are seeking an Outside Sales Professional to join our Utility team to provide sales and technical support and build strong relationships for an assigned group of customers and promotes the Principals represented and their product lines.
Candidate must reside within 60 miles of Kansas City, MO.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a sales plan
- Prepare and conduct product presentations
- Answer technical product application calls
- Develop product, system and service expertise
- Provide training for customers on products, systems, application software
- Develop expertise in interpreting plan details
- Develop job take‑offs/prepare bills of materials according to customer specifications
- Prepare product information for quotes
- Work with Inside Sales Professionals to coordinate opportunities
- Build successful relationships with assigned Principals and factory personnel
- Promote yourself and CBM as the most professional manufacturer’s representative selling force in the territory and the utility industry
- Manage an expense account to provide for entertainment of customers, vehicle care and maintenance of company provided vehicle, meals, and lodging
- Perform duties inherent to all outside sales personnel
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Honesty and integrity
- Organization and time management skills
- Previous successful outside sales experience preferred
- People‑oriented, sales driven, team player
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to travel overnight on a regular basis
