Overview
Retail Store Management Trainee - 2948 s role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in “fast-tracking” into a Store Management position. This role requires a minimum of 1 year retail management experience. Pay range: $16.95 to $23.95 per hour.

Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of Store Management experience. Accountable for day-to-day store operations, promoting a positive environment, partnering with the Store Manager to lead and develop staff, recruit and retain talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations. Analyzes store financial statements with Store Manager to meet goals. Supports asset protection, store promotion, and customer acquisitions.
Works with jewelry and general merchandise including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations).
This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a performance bonus. Actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities Of a Store Management Trainee(This is a representative list of duties; other duties may be assigned.)
- Facilitate a customer-centric environment, engage customers, and address issues promptly.
- Train Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through prescribed channels.
- Open/close the store, manage cash drawers, and protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, and loan documentation.
- Manage store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, and reporting.
- Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and purchasing processes for value and integrity.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
- Communicate store mission and profit objectives to employees.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge.
- The Assistant Store Manager may act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting) in accordance with laws.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- Must be able to work at exterior locations or storage areas as needed.
- Minimum Age: 18;
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. - Ability to work at multiple locations as needed; flexible retail schedule including weekends/holidays; 45+ hours per week.
- Computer literate; ability to operate POS systems and office machines.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Analytical skills; cash handling experience; ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong work ethic.
