Position: Stylist

The Stylist is responsible for providing a positive, friendly, empathetic and professional selling experience with all customers. Stylists are responsible for delivering 5-Star Customer Service, achieving sales goals and productivity by following the 5-Step Selling Process, and performing duties related to the presentation and operations of the store. This role reports to the Store Manager in partnership with the Sales Manager.

Bridal Stylists are brand ambassadors who demonstrate the values and critical success factors of the David’s Bridal brand.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome all customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm in person or over the phone; adapt communication style to suit the customer.
  • Use all systems to manage customer flow and deliver a 5-Star experience (Appointments/Customers/Point of Sale). Use iPad tools to research and communicate information to customers.
  • Provide exceptional service to multiple customers at once; proactively address concerns and know when to escalate to leadership.
  • Prepare for customer appointments by reviewing profiles, favorites and preparing fitting rooms.
  • Build relationships by listening to customer needs and expectations (emotional and practical); strive to identify the perfect gown within the first three try-ons.
  • Review Timeline Calendar and set future appointments; follow up with customers to remind or schedule future sales.
  • Explain how alterations contribute to perfecting the dress; promote alterations services and personalization options; partner with Alterations Specialists to set up fittings and achieve conversion to Alterations appointments.
  • Ensure proper measurements are taken and entered for ordering dresses and minimizing returns/exchanges.
  • Maintain store standards (clean, organized, promotional readiness) and report any damaged equipment.
  • Maintain dress code standards and promote loyalty and partners programs to support the customer journey.
  • Offer and promote the David’s Bridal loyalty and partners program to support one-stop shopping for life events.
Qualifications & Competencies
  • High school diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years of prior retail experience in apparel/service or specialty stores is preferred.
  • Experience with a computerized POS system is preferred.
  • Personal integrity: build trust through consistent actions.
  • Drive: achieve results through determination and commitment; remain persistent in challenging times.
  • Teamwork: build and maintain positive relationships across teams.
  • Physical ability to perform duties (standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, etc.).
  • Education & Credentials:
    High school diploma or equivalent; prior retail experience in apparel/service recommended.
