Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the check lanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

  • Communicating and interacting with guests to build a welcoming guest experience
  • Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns

  • Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services
Typical Day / Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
  • Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs
  • Inform guests about current promos, store activities and events
  • Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve guest experience
  • Thank guests and express appreciation for shopping at Target
  • Know the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed
  • Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
  • Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
  • Explain and assist with features of the Target App, including Wallet
  • Know how to direct guests to Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering, and how to enroll/use these features
  • Handle returns following store policies; escalate to leaders as needed
  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
  • Work safely; report hazards and address them where possible
  • Support guest services such as Order Pick Up, Drive-Up Orders, and related returns while ensuring compliance with applicable laws
  • Perform other duties as required by business needs

Work Basics
  • Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash office tasks as needed
  • Scan, handle and move merchandise safely; ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally with/without assistance
  • Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance
  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions while performing duties
