The Steward is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and proper organization of all china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and kitchen equipment throughout the hotel. This role is a temporary position, hired to cover a leave of absence, and plays a key part in supporting smooth culinary operations while upholding Grand Hyatt’s hygiene and quality standards.
Responsibilities- Wash, sanitize, and properly store all dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, stewarding areas, storage rooms, and banquet support areas according to health regulations.
- Operate dishwashing equipment safely and effectively.
Ensure clean equipment and utensils are organized and readily available.
- Communicate efficiently with kitchen and service teams.
- Follow all hygiene, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
- A genuine desire to serve others.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push, and move moderate weight.
- Availability to work P.M. shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in stewarding minimum 1 year
