• Removal and prevention of nuisance wildlife from man-made structures and surrounding areas, including inspections of structures, setting of traps, physical capture of animals, euthanasia of animals, and installation of preventive materials.
• Daily activities such as setting up the daily service route, communicating with customers, selling services, completing service work, and office check-ins.
• Capture animals using traps, capture poles, nets, or by hand.

• Operate motor vehicle – must possess a valid Illinois driver’s license.
• Previous Wildlife Technician experience preferred.
• Pass IDNR state certification exam (80%) for nuisance wildlife control.
• Ability to enter/exit structures, crawl spaces, attics; climb structures, ascend/descend stairs and ladders; walk on roofs; wade in water.
• Read, write reports, and comprehend pesticide labels and training materials in English.
• Utilize OSHA-mandated personal protective equipment.
• Visually inspect for wildlife activity, determine species present, identify entry points, and install preventive solutions.
• Utilize basic tools and inspection equipment (power drill, hammer, staple gun, screwdriver, pry bar, mirror, flashlight, saw, tin snips, wire cutters, pliers, socket set).
• Lift and carry items such as ladders (up to 40 feet) and traps weighing up to ~30 lbs multiple times daily; be able to lift own weight for access to attics and some rooftops.
• Clearly communicate service and sales information to customers multiple times daily.
