Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Help with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients to prevent skin breakdown, assist with feeding as needed, and monitor intake/output
- Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration), observe and report changes in a patient’s condition to nurses, and assist with wound care under the direction of an RN
- Stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms, ensure the environment stays clean and safe
- Assist in transporting patients within the hospital
Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology
Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:
- Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred
