** Position Overview*
* A large, high-acuity acute care hospital in the Kansas City metro area is seeking an experienced
** RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator (Charge Nurse)
** to support an Orthopedic/Neuro Trauma unit on the night shift.
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) provides leadership and clinical oversight during the assigned shift, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. This role collaborates closely with nursing leadership to coordinate unit operations, support staff, and optimize patient outcomes.
** Key Responsibilities*
* + Coordinate and oversee unit operations during assigned shifts
+ Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient flow to support efficient throughput
+ Direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with policies and standards
+ Serve as a clinical and professional resource for nursing staff
+ Promote a patient-first culture and participate in service recovery as needed
+ Support staff engagement initiatives such as rounding and workflow best practices
+ Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of staff
+ Support scheduling and staffing decisions aligned with patient acuity and productivity guidelines
+ Assist with inventory control, supplies, and equipment management
** Qualifications*
* +
** Current, strong acute care Med-Surg experience required*
* + Preference for candidates with recent charge nurse experience
** OR*
* + Minimum of 2 years of current Med-Surg RN experience
+ Registered Nurse (RN) license (active or compact, per state regulations)
+ Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
+
** BSN preferred*
* + BLS required (within 30 days of start)
+ ACLS required (within 30 days of start)
+ Participation in professional organizations encouraged

** Pay Details:** $35.65 to $47.64 per hour
