Job Description
Bishop Spencer Place, Kansas City’s premier non‑profit Life Care retirement community, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Skilled Nursing Facility
.
Registered Nurse (RN) – Wound Care
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
No Weekends or Holidays Required
WCC - Wound Care Certification preferred but not required to start.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluating new and continuing residents for wounds and skin alterations
- Notifying physician and Nurse Supervisor of wound changes
- Implementing orders and providing treatments to heal wounds
- Identifying wound types and providing education to other nursing staff
- Documenting wound status and treatment interventions
- Consulting with residents, family members, and physicians in planning the resident’s care, treatment, and rehabilitation
- Providing other direct nursing care as necessary
- Participating in QAPI activities including participation in annual survey preparation and survey process, and maintenance of CMS standards.
