Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Manager of Emergency Services (ER RN) for a top healthcare client in Independence, MO
.
The ER Clinical Manager provides leadership and oversight for the Emergency Department, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care while managing daily operations, staffing, and compliance. This role is key to maintaining excellence in patient safety, team engagement, and operational performance, serving as both a clinical expert and departmental leader.
Job Responsibilities- Oversee all clinical, operational, and administrative functions of the Emergency Department.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, charge nurses, and support personnel.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices for emergency care.
- Develop and monitor departmental budgets, staffing models, and financial performance.
- Facilitate collaboration with physicians, staff, and hospital leadership to enhance quality of care and patient satisfaction.
- Manage staff hiring, orientation, evaluations, and professional development.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of departmental performance and implement process improvements.
- Serve as a professional role model, clinical resource, and liaison between nursing staff and medical leadership.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care Emergency Department experience required
- Prior Charge RN or supervisory experience within the last year strongly preferred
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 1 year of hire
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 1 year of hire
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities under pressure
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage teams in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
