Position Overview

A leading healthcare facility in Kansas City, MO is seeking compassionate and experienced Cardiac Care Registered Nurses to join its high-performing cardiovascular team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a comprehensive stroke and STEMI facility, caring for patients recovering from advanced cardiovascular procedures in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

About the Role

As a Cardiac Care RN, you will deliver high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from:

  • Open-heart surgeries
  • Heart catheterization & stent placement
  • Ablations
  • Pacemaker/AICD placements
  • Cardiovascular surgeries

You will play a key role in a collaborative team focused on patient safety, quick response to clinical changes, and excellent outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe, evidence-based cardiac nursing care.
  • Monitor cardiovascular recovery and respond to patient needs with strong clinical judgment.
  • Ensure care aligns with Nursing Practice Acts and ANA Standards of Practice.
  • Assist patients and families through education and discharge preparation.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal recovery.
Qualifications
  • 1 year of acute care experience in cardiac care or similar setting
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Active Missouri RN license (or eligibility)
  • BLS required upon hire
  • ACLS required within 6 months
Competitive Compensation
  • $30.04–$41.50/hr (based on experience)
  • Shift Differentials: +$4/hr Nights & +$4/hr Weekends
  • Sign-On Bonus:
  • $30,000 for Night Shift (2-year commitment)
  • $12,000 for Day Shift (2-year commitment)
  • Relocation Assistance: Available case-by-case

Unit Details
  • Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:3 to 1:5 (based on acuity and staffing)
  • Caring for post–cardiac surgery, interventional cardiology, and cardiac rhythm management patients
