About the job REGISTERED NURSE - CLINICAL NURSE COORDINATOR MULTIPLE UNITSJob Responsibilities:
- The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with management, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care according to policies and procedures. Acts as a resource for staff and models the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support excellent patient outcomes.
- Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality care.
- Participates in ongoing assessment of patient care quality in collaboration with management.
- Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to foster teamwork and improve outcomes.
- Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when needed.
- Supports efforts to improve staff engagement through strategies like employee rounding and hourly rounds.
- Provides input on staff hiring, training, conflict resolution, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor needs in line with patient care and productivity guidelines.
- Supports inventory control and manages supplies and equipment.
- Minimum two (2) years of clinical practice in the relevant specialty, with leadership or management experience.
- Leadership experience in an acute care, Level Trauma 1 hospital setting is required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certifications must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
- Registered Nurse Diploma; BSN preferred.
- Active RN license in the state of practice or a compact license.
- Participation in professional organizations is encouraged.
Salary Range: $35.65 - $47.64 per hour (dependent on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: Not guaranteed; case-by-case basis.
Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis.
