Registered Nurse RN Cardiac Care – Research Medical Center
We are offering a $12,000 sign‑on bonus for experienced RN candidates (eligible candidates only – cannot be combined with other bonuses or scholarships). This is a full‑time, entry‑level position in our Cardiac Telemetry unit.
About the Cardiac Telemetry UnitCardiac Telemetry nurses assess acute changes in patients, monitoring and analyzing heart rhythms, interpreting ECGs, noting arrhythmias, and intervening in emergency situations. Nurses in our unit care for patients recovering from open heart surgeries, heart catheterizations, ablations, pacemaker/AICD placements, and other cardiovascular procedures. The unit is a 29‑bed progressive‑care service that works closely with cardiology providers and supports evidence‑based care.
Responsibilities- Continuous monitoring of patients’ cardiac rhythms and vital signs.
- Interpreting ECG results and promptly identifying arrhythmias.
- Initiating emergency interventions when required.
- Collaborating with physicians, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Providing patient education and emotional support during recovery.
- Documenting all assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the electronic health record.
- Registered Nurse (RN) with current state licensure.
- Registered Nurse Diploma or equivalent educational background.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
- High‑level critical‑thinking skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Experience in cardiac care or telemetry preferred.
