Annual Salary Range: $70,700 – $99,800 (Equivalent to $34–$48/hour, Based on Experience)
Shift Differentials: +$4 Nights & Weekends

An established surgical services team in Kansas City, Missouri is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join a dynamic perioperative department.
This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in fast-paced environments and want to work in a nationally recognized facility known for advanced surgical programs, multidisciplinary collaboration, and a strong culture of safety and support.

Day and night shifts are available, with self-scheduling posted four weeks in advance to promote work-life balance and schedule predictability.

• Circulate and/or scrub for surgical procedures across multiple service lines.
• Assess patients before surgery and provide perioperative education to patients and families.
• Prepare the OR for procedures, including verifying surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists to ensure seamless operations.
• Monitor patients intraoperatively, respond to changes in condition, and document care accurately.
• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to surgical protocols and infection prevention standards.
• Participate in pre-op and post-op briefings and debriefings per hospital policy.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, leadership, and evidence-based practice in all aspects of perioperative care.

Required:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or Compact State
• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience (scrub and/or circulate)
• Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• CNOR certification
• Experience in Level I Trauma or large academic hospital setting
