Job Description

The role is full‑time day shift and requires a registered nurse with BLS certification. The position functions independently and is accountable for utilizing the nursing process to coordinate care for a group of patients within a multidisciplinary team. The nurse delegates tasks appropriately and ensures safe, efficient, and high‑quality patient care. The unit consists of 26 beds and serves a high‑acuity surgical patient population in a fast‑paced environment.

The nurse is a clinical resource for new employees and demonstrates positive formal or informal leadership within the unit or department.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage patient care using the nursing process.
• Delegate tasks to nursing staff and assist with task distribution.
• Ensure all patient care is safe, efficient, and of high quality.
• Serve as a clinical resource for new hires.
• Demonstrate leadership within the unit or department.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS certification.
• Basic experience in cardiac or transplant nursing (less than 1 year experience acceptable).
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
