Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Plant Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our small manufacturing facility, which runs three shifts. The Plant Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring production goals are met, maintaining safety and quality standards, and leading a team of operators across all shifts. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities- Operations Management
- Oversee production activities across three shifts to ensure efficiency and consistency.
- Monitor workflow, equipment performance, and production schedules to meet output targets.
- Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to minimize downtime.
- Supervise and support shift leads and production staff.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to employees.
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that emphasizes accountability and teamwork.
- Safety & Compliance
- Enforce workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness across all shifts.
- Quality Assurance
- Ensure products meet quality specifications and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to address issues and implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce waste.
- Communication & Reporting
- Serve as the primary point of contact between shifts and management.
- Prepare and deliver daily/weekly production reports.
- Communicate operational updates, challenges, and successes to leadership.
- Proven experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of production processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours to support all three shifts as needed.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
