Fire Board Labs, a Kansas City technology company, is hiring an Operations Manager to oversee key functional areas of the company including electronics manufacturing, plant management and resource planning. This role will focus on daily management of key personnel, and oversight of Fire Board’s manufacturing processes. Another key focus of this role will be to look towards building operational efficiencies on the assembly line.
We are looking for candidates with experience in electronics manufacturing and assembly.
Fire Board Labs is headquartered in Kansas City and is an industry leader in cloud connected temperature monitoring and control. Our headquarters in downtown Kansas City also supports our in-house electronics manufacturing capabilities and provides a showcase for domestic manufacturing. Fire Board is planning to build upon its momentum and launch additional key products this year. This role would play an active part in ensuring efficient operations in Fire Board’s vertically integrated electronic manufacturing operations.
This role would combine daily hands-on involvement on our production floor while also working closely with management to execute key initiatives.
Desired Skill Set- Bachelor’s Degree (Business / Engineering)
- Strong analytical skills (Spreadsheets, MRP systems)
- Multiple years of experience in manufacturing environment
- Experience in managing and coaching manufacturing associates
- Ability to evaluate key operational efficiency metrics
- Strong communication skills and comfort level interfacing with executive team
- Experience with electronics (reading schematics, solder re-work, test equipment, diagnosis)
- Experience with electronics assembly equipment (Pick and place machines, selective solder)
- Experience in manufacturing automation
