Mico Sanitation Tech Nights

Overview

Mar Petcare is seeking a Micro Sanitation Technician to support our Nutro manufacturing plant in Greenies, Kansas City, MO. The role follows a night shift schedule and focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and GMP‑compliant environment.

• Assist all production areas in maintaining high daily cleanliness in line with site GMP’s.
• Prioritize daily work by identifying pressing issues, communicating with operators, and understanding shift production plans.
• Perform detailed cleaning of large manufacturing spaces and equipment, following the Master Sanitation Schedule and lock‑out/tag‑out procedures.
• Educate team members on sanitation principles and micro‑training to prevent cross‑contamination.
• Support plant production goals while ensuring food safety and quality standards.

• Capable of working at elevated heights and lifting 50 lbs repetitively.
• Stand on concrete for long periods and adapt to temperature extremes.
• Wear proper PPE (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, uniform).
• Operate a forklift with OSHA certification, and work with minimal supervision.

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety practices.
• Ability to understand and communicate in the English language.
• Computer skills and basic production equipment knowledge.
