Recoup Laborer; KCR

Position Summary

The Recoupment/Labor Specialist will be responsible for the repackaging of damaged product for our customer that was damaged during shipping or the unloading process. The position also will provide support for our railcar unloading team.

• Repackaging any damaged product that can be saved.
• Return recouped product back to stock in the warehouse.
• Operate forklift to transport product
• Load, transport, unload, and stack product in accordance with established procedures.
• Clean and maintain area from spills and ensure to keep a safe work environment.
• Prep rail boxcars for unloading (opening doors, cutting seals, closing doors)
• Demonstrate predictable, reliable, and timely attendance.
• Follow written and verbal directions to complete assigned tasks on schedule.
• Read, write, and communicate in English & understand basic math.
• Learn from directions, observations, and mistakes and apply procedures using good judgment.
• Performs other duties as requested or required.

• High school education or general education development (GED).
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Warehouse experience preferred.

• Must have the ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
• Must have the ability to write legibly.
• Must be able to perform duties that require heavy lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Frequent stooping, bending over, kneeling recoup product as necessary.
• Must be able to have a flexible work schedule.
• Must have the ability to recognize problems.
