12 Hour – Night Shift; 6pm – 6:30am.
Shift Schedules: 4 on 4 off continuously.
Mars Petcare (Greenies) is hiring an Operator at our climate‑controlled Kansas City, MO location.

An Operator is a system expert in their assigned area, highly functional in multiple areas, and must work safely at all times. They ensure efficiency, operational conformance, product quality, and drive continuous improvement. Operators are responsible for producing quality products in the required quantities, understanding the manufacturing change‑over process, and operating other equipment as needed. Strong communication, interpersonal, and team‑building skills are essential, as is punctuality.
Minimum Requirements- High School Diploma/GED
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills – preferably iPad
- Passion to work and learn in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment – resiliency
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Standing for extended periods; mobility to climb stairs and ladders
- Operate equipment to complete the conversion process and package the finished product before shipping to customers.
- Conduct problem‑solving and troubleshooting as necessary.
- Load packaged material, clear jams, reset faults, perform change‑overs, quality checks, report issues, and maintain GMPs.
- Complete basic preventative maintenance work as assigned (CILs).
- Ensure quality and food safety procedural conformance.
- Wear required PPE and report any safety hazards immediately.
- Communicate accurate and timely information using computer technology.
- Work in a self‑directed manner with a positive attitude; be reliable, conscientious, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
- Conduct sanitation activities as required.
- Manage inventory throughout the production process.
- Provide informal leadership to temporary associates during production.
- Pay based on experience.
