Reports To: Quality Assurance Manager

Position Type: Full-time

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

The Cabinet Shop Tech I executes is responsible for setting up and operating CNC routers to produce precision wood components. This role requires proficiency in understanding accurate drawings, as well as familiarity with a variety of woodworking tools including saws, drills, and other shop equipment. The Cabinet Technician is responsible for the wood shop function of CNC Router Operating, reading and interpreting engineering prints, executing production runs, and ensuring quality and efficiency in all assigned projects.

  • Operates CNC router and related woodworking equipment (saws, drills, sanders, etc.) safely and effectively
  • Maintain work order schedule to maintain multiple value stream
• CNC Operations:
  • Reads and interprets engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to accurately program and execute CNC router operations
• Alignment:
  • Applies a continuous improvement mindset by streamlining processes, identifying efficiencies, and improving workflow
• Customization:
  • Assist with programming Mastercam toolpaths and drawings to optimize efficiency and accuracy in machining wood components for customized orders
• Quality Assurance:
  • Performs inspections throughout the production process to ensure proper fit, finish, alignment, functionality, and that all components meet quality and safety standards, including testing systems and ensuring that the final product is free from defects
• Troubleshooting:
  • Identifies problems and implements solutions quickly in the event of production issues or customer complaints
  • Troubleshoots issues with machinery, programs, or tooling to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
• Documentation:
  • Keeps accurate records of completed work, production processes, modifications, and inspections to adhere to quality standards and compliance with industry regulations
• Safety Compliance:
  • Adheres to all safety regulations and guidelines, including proper use of PPE and participate in safety training programs
