Overview
Position:
Food and Beverage Outside Services Manager
Reports to:
Hospitality Director
- Pool Deck F&B Operations, Swim and Dive Program, Lifeguards, Beverage Cart Operations
- Member Service
- Ensure that all members and guests receive courteous, prompt, and professional attention to their needs; utilize feedback to improve departmental operations and member satisfaction
- Communicate and encourage staff to consistently meet and exceed the Club’s service goals
- Anticipate, react and introduce new programs to meet service needs
- Management of Facility
- Ensure compliance and enforcement of safety policies and procedures within the recreation department and its facilities
- Act as liaison for committees to plan programs and events and to prepare and oversee recreation schedules
- Programs / Event(s)
- Oversee the development and implementation of all programs and services
- Work with Food and Beverage department to provide event, tournament & social function services
- Partner with Membership and Marketing Director in a timely manner to seek advice and creative products to advertise to the membership
- Department Personnel
- Determine how service excellence can be promoted by staff members in recreation department, and provide training and development opportunities for staff to reach goals and responsibilities set out by the club
- Attend committee meetings regularly to update members on the developments of the various areas of the Club and to seek advice on programs & services
- Communicate effectively with the committee chairs on meetings
- Financial
- Ensure financial performance of the recreation department and its services and programs, including operating and capital budgets
- Work with Assistant General Manager in regards to budgeting, spending, billing, monthly forecasts
- Fundamental supervisory practices and principles, including scheduling and staff development
- Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees
- Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills
- Self-motivated with desire to promote and market
- Experienced in written and oral business communications
- Experienced computer user including;
Microsoft Word and Excel. Proficient in other applications, i.e., email, internet, tournament and database - Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the community
- Minimum of 3 Years of management and Private Club experience preferred in similar position
- Ability to be on feet for up to 85% of the prescribed shift
- Ability to lift 30 pounds, able to stand, bend, stoop, twist and turn for prolonged periods of time
- The position will require working inside and outside various times of the year and may require prolonged exposure to sunlight
- This position often requires an individual to work long hours, holidays, weekends and may be subjected to shifts longer than 10 hours in one working day
