The Havens Group has been retained by a confidential, founder-led retirement and Medicare education platform in the Kansas City metro to hire a Director of Retirement Planning & Distribution. The firm operates a high-volume Medicare and retirement education engine with strong brand recognition, significant digital traffic, and recurring workshops serving pre-retirees and new retirees. The mandate for this role is clear: convert a steady stream of warm, inbound demand into a scalable Retirement Planning & Distribution Pod that drives long-term planning relationships and managed assets.

This is a player-coach opportunity for an experienced advisor who wants to both produce and build—designing the client journey, converting firm-generated leads, and developing a small, high-performing advisory pod.

• Own the advisory funnel from education workshops and digital inquiries through long-term client relationships.
• Convert firm-generated leads into holistic planning and AUM clients.
• Design and deliver integrated retirement income, investment, Social Security, tax, and healthcare planning.
• Lead, coach, and develop advisors and inside sales/client engagement as the pod scales.
• Manage pod-level KPIs, economics, and growth strategy in partnership with centralized operations, compliance, finance, and marketing.

• 7–12+ years in retirement planning, wealth management, insurance + planning, or advisory roles.
• 3–5+ years in a producing leader or player-coach capacity.
• Deep experience working with near-retiree and retiree clients.
• Comfortable in lead-rich, metrics-driven environments with an entrepreneurial mindset.
