The Opportunity

The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial reporting functions for Express Carwash Equipment and retail stores. This role is central to ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls and deep visibility into the costs and profitability of the organization. The Director of Finance will partner closely with executive leadership and operations to drive informed decision-making, operational efficiency, and long-term growth.

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including construction, equipment and distribution industry
• Strong background in cost accounting and inventory
• Experience producing financial statements and leading close processes
• Ability to partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership

Preferred

• CPA or equivalent professional accounting designation
• Background in public accounting, private equity and/or experience in a small-to-middle market growth-oriented construction, equipment and distribution industry

• Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and inventory accounting
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies

• Manage standard costing, inventory valuation, and work-in-process (WIP) accounting
• Analyze manufacturing variances, margins, and cost drivers
• Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve cost controls, inventory accuracy, and production efficiency
• Support pricing decisions and product-line profitability analysis

• Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting
• Develop financial models and analyses to support capital investments, product development, and growth initiatives
• Provide clear, actionable financial insights to executive leadership

• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements

• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, reporting, and systems
• Support ERP and financial system enhancements as the company grows
