Overview

Warehouse Coordinater to supervise, oversee and train associates in the warehouse department.

Location: Kansas City, Missouri.
Campus: Non‑Smoking Campus.

Shift: 2nd shift – M‑Th 3:30 pm – 2:00 am (OT at peak times each month to include Fri & Sat – same times).

Responsibilities
  • Essential
    • Develops associates on each task and piece of equipment prior to use by providing training and motivation.
    • Observes all associates periodically to ensure proper procedures are being followed.
    • Oversees that the warehouse area is maintained in a neat and orderly manner.
    • Ensures that inventory stocks are maintained in ample supply from warehouse to plant.
    • Ensures that all freight is stored in an orderly fashion and properly tracked and accounted for.
    • Ensures that production has all the raw products at the required location.
    • Oversees the removal of the finished products and places them back into inventory.
    • Directs the verification of the freight bill and bill of lading to the original purchase order.
    • Completes the requisition documentation for new equipment.
    • Communicates and coordinates personnel issues with management.
    • Organizes and dispatches trucks to various locations.
    • Ensures the accuracy of all inventory tracking.
    • Ensures that all receiving procedures are followed.
    • Diffuses situations which have a high amount of conflict.
    • Provides a work atmosphere conducive to employees' comfort and needs (i.e., monitors morale, goal setting, etc.), thus enhancing their ability to perform tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
    • Coordinates with other warehouse locations on product, container and material needs.

    • Performs other duties as assigned or needed.
  • Supervision Of Others
    • Supervises related staff by performing such duties as recommending employment status (i.e., hiring, terminating, promotions, issuing warnings, etc.), interviewing applicants, counseling, training, scheduling, resolving conflicts, coordinating with other departments, conducting associate meetings, recommending wage increases, etc.
Qualifications
  • Essential
    • Ability to be flexible and prioritize.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work under stress.
    • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
    • Standing, sitting or walking for duration of shift.
    • Pulling, stretching, bending, twisting, pushing and lifting for duration of shift.
    • Visually read bottles, product, batch numbers, etc. at high rates of speed.
    • Demonstrated leadership ability to supervise and direct the work of others.
    • Ability to organize and coordinate projects.
    • Six (6) months prior experience at Melaleuca or one (1) year equivalent warehousing experience at another facility.
    • Six (6) months prior experience on warehouse equipment operation (i.e., forklift, pallet jack, handcart, truck driving, etc.).
    • Good math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, etc.).
    • Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy.
