As a Senior Subcontracts Manager for Advanced Manufacturing, you will lead subcontract administration on Mega‑Projects (Total Installed Cost $750M+). You’ll manage the activities of Subcontracts Managers and teams of Procurement Professionals, coordinating all procurement transactions for major construction services and ensuring successful execution of subcontracting plans.

Essential Responsibilities- Develop upfront Procurement planning activities such as the Subcontracting section of the Supply Management Execution Plan (SMEP), establish Subcontracting Strategies, and create project‑specific templates, reports, and tools.
- Lead a small to mid‑sized team of subcontract administrators, assigning packages, eliminating obstacles, training staff, and providing support.
- Use critical thinking to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the Project’s Subcontracting efforts.
- Manage the procurement of subcontracted services and administer Procurement Agreements and change orders to meet project objectives.
- Review subcontract‑related invoices ensuring approval in accordance with contract terms.
- Evaluate facts surrounding subcontract‑related problem areas and apply remedies to resolve them.
- Maintain subcontracting documentation in a repository and identify subcontract‑related risks.
- Lead procurement processes: plan bidding, develop bidder lists, qualify bidders, prepare RFQs, conduct bid evaluations, and manage contract negotiations.
- Prepare proposal deliverables including pricing, execution approach narratives, and labor hour estimates.
- Recommend source selections and plan subcontract negotiations.
- Participate in or lead supply management strategy development and implementation; may serve as supply management project lead.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert in commodities or specialized areas.
- Assist stakeholders in understanding the overall Procurement process.
- Participate in internal and external supply management presentations.
- Work independently with guidance only for the most complex situations; supervise senior subcontract administrators and procurement support personnel.
- Coordinate with project or departmental personnel in the performance of purchasing activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, supply chain, operations management, or equivalent project experience.
- 13+ years of experience in EPCM construction contracting.
- 10+ years of experience in specialized manufacturing, data centers, or life‑science manufacturing projects is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
- Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring procurement teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team environment.
- Strong problem‑solving and organizational skills.
- A drive to solve complex and challenging problems.
