This dynamic leader will independently lead a team/teams to deliver Whole Brand ideas that drive business. This person creates the conditions for brave ideas, business growth, client retention, and supports the overall client experience the Vice President level, this person maximizes every touchpoint with clients to ensure a uniquely positive experience and motivates long-standing relationships. Every deliverable is an opportunity, and this person manages the team and the vision for how all pieces come together to be positive and impactful.
CXLeadership
A successful VP, CX is a client expert who delivers a positive experience by knowing the client, nurturing the relationship, and understanding their business. This person has depth of knowledge in one or more verticals (e.g., CPG, QSR, or Retail) and brings their influence and insight to the table with the client. This forges a tight relationship with continual contact and the ability to have difficult conversations when needed.
It also allows for a customized experience for the client based on business needs and relationship.
This person partners with cross-agency teams to match client needs while nurturing an inclusive team culture that empowers direct reports and galvanizes the full team. They respect the expertise of each department and lead by example to attract talent. They foster a team culture and ensure the environment attracts people to the team.
Approach and DeliveryThe role requires unwavering passion for building whole brands, commitment to every step of the process, and leadership in creating conditions for quality work that considers context and content. The leader takes a proactive approach and does not wait for requests.
Business and Revenue ManagementThis leader oversees significant revenue and may manage 2–3 clients or a very large one. They are expected to manage the business health of the agency, identify organic growth, and be mindful of financials for the client. A blend of creativity, problem-solving, business savvy, and passion for the work is ideal.

OKRP apart. - Act as the expert and advisor on the client’s business; consult with clients on modern business and brand innovations.
- Provide big-picture perspective to the team to ensure focus on long-term success.
- Proactive leadership to foresee client issues and resolve before they threaten the relationship.
- CREATIVE:
Advocate for Whole Brand thinking, presell and protect the work, manage resourcing and open financial opportunities, lead annual planning and growth opportunities for new creative work. - Seeks and delivers Whole Brand ideas that solve business problems with the cross-agency team.
- Advocates for brave work and helps the client be prepared to invest in innovative ideas.
- COLLABORATION:
Lead cross-department teams, provide clear POV, and drive growth. Lead financials, resourcing, and scoping to support the agency business case and impact. - Foster an inclusive environment where every team member can contribute.
- Serve as lead agency guide to ensure strategic approach is delivered across Barkley
OKRP, partner agencies, and internal client teams. - Oversee scoping, profitability, and client contracts; develop repeatable processes for delivery.
- Grow and retain direct reports with clear growth plans and defined roles.
- Collaborate with Project Management to ensure alignment across meetings, information sharing, and evolving roles between CX and PM.
- Experience as a trusted advisor to client leadership (often VP and CMO).
