Job Summary
Conversion Crew member is responsible for converting the building for various events including installation and removal of the basketball floor, retractable seating, stages, moving furniture and other duties involving set up for each event. This physically demanding position requires a candidate to be able to work in a fast‑paced team environment and be available to work a flexible schedule revolving around the event calendar as needed, which includes evenings, weekends and holidays.
This is a great part‑time year‑round opportunity where work hours are event driven.
- Assist with event setups, changeovers, and operational tasks as directed by the manager and supervisor, including tables, flooring, risers and portable seating, to ensure a safe and efficient transition between events.
- Perform facility operational tasks on non‑event days, including storage of equipment, furniture, tools, and identification of damaged equipment.
- Ensure the proper maintenance of all equipment and arrange for the repair and/or replacement of used and damaged equipment.
- Collaborate with other in‑house staff to ensure production requirements are met and promoter/client requests are fully executed.
- Contribute to the team dynamic by assisting coworkers, maintaining a safe and clean work area, and helping to develop and maintain a positive work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of event changeovers and setups.
- Able to read, communicate and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Ability to multi‑task and function in a fast‑paced environment while meeting deadlines efficiently and safely.
- Interact with co‑workers and the general public in a professional manner.
- Must be able to regularly lift, push and pull objects up to 50 lbs. and to kneel, stoop, bend, climb stairs and reach/lift above the head.
- Working knowledge of assembly operations equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, staging equipment, trussing, hand tools, power tools, etc.
- Comply with proper safety policies and procedures as required (e.g., using cleaning chemicals, reporting incidents).
- Reliable, comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as the event schedule requires.
